The day the music died......

Hi all, its unfortunate that I have been really busy. So I have come to a conclusion to suspend this blog until further notice. It is not fair, that I have not been reading your blogs and have not been able to reply your comments.

However, I am still reachable thru my email dade_ghost@yahoo.com and my Facebook, look for Dade Hantu. I dont know why Facebook does not approve the name Dade Ghost. I will be in Facebook from time to time.

I hope to come back blogging actively again soon. Meanwhile, please do keep in touch.

I will definitely miss you all here. I really do.....

What a beginning!

2008 has only begun. But it has been rather exciting. However, I feel really bad that I have not been updating my blog. I am further upset that I have not been able to visit my friends blog due to my hectic schedule....... and partly Facebook is to blame! KH sorry.... can you join facebook... so that I can disturb you everyday like usual.

Work front, I am enjoying my new work. I am starting from scratch here. No permanent place yet, yeah actually squatting on some peoples table. But what is important, they gave me a notebook! I can be online.... Hey, they are sending me overseas next week... Really looking forward.

Life front, no movie marathon for a while. Sorry did not have time to update my last marathon, but I think I saw another batch of six movies..... I have been going back home earliest 8 pm daily, and a couple of time beyond 12 midnite. I still have to serve six months of probation at my new work place.

Love front, she is avoiding me. Intentionally, saying I got to concentrate on my new job for MY future, NOT OUR future! Life can indeed be a HUGE test!

Overall, I am please with how 2008 has started for me. A pleasant windfall have fallen on me. Looking forward for more.

My prayers to all my friends that life will be much better for all of us. Till the next time.

A short update.

Well I am on a short break before I resume work in 2008. Have been keeping myself busy playing in Facebook.

Yeah have been busy watching movies too..... on Astro and DVD's. Will update more soon, I hope.

Was on a couple of short holiday trips. Will update some pictures.

Been also attending some funerals.....

Will be attending a wedding tomorrow....

Apologize for not updating and visiting your blogs. I hope will find the time at my new job......

Marathon Man.

Guess what? I think I watched not less than 5 movies.... yeah my mind is dull due to watching a marathon of movies over the weekend.

Let me try to recall the movies..... Hey do not expect me to remember the title or the leading characters.... hehehe... that is my weakness.... My memory is kaput...

1) I think it started when a man sat a bus stop. He saw a man about to kill a pregnant lady. He tried saving the lady. He even helped the lady deliver a baby, while shooting out with the bad guy....

The lady died, and the journey begins for him and the baby. It was about a crooked business man and a politician manipulating people to achieve their dream.

My rating it is just an ok movie. Watch out for the scene when he was making love, simultaneously shooting out with the bad guys.... and his partner climaxed! Hehehe...

2) 2nd movie about this killer. One bad tough huge dude. He was betrayed and his love life was killed by his own gang.

Served his sentence and bent on revenge. He was very focus. For a slow poke, well he was pictured as not bright, he does focus and planned well.

The thing that the movie was so obviously trying to tell is how, misunderstanding and miscommunication, can easily happened and result in devastating effect. In this story how the gangs that was controlling the drugs in that city actually wiped out each other....

I rate this movie as ok.

3) This movie was about the dragons. The story line was a little bit different, and taken from the folklore of Korea.

Awesome graphics for the battle scenes. A little bit sad. Very bad acting. My rating, it barely make it to ok. If your really are bored then watch this movie.

4) This one is about the walking dead. A man rescuing a lady in distress (whats new?). Lady supposedly have a cure to the zombie disease.

Very bad story line. Very bad acting. Waste of my time. This is definitely a B rated movie!

5) This movie also barely make it to the "ok" category. It gaves me a few laugh. I can say that this one is a little bit weird. Imagine what the game ping pong got to do with espionage?

Well as it is a comedy movie, it pulls thru. For those that loves funny movies, this can be considered a good movie. The cast was not so well known, except for Christoper Walken. Anybody seen or remember Chris in the movie "Deer Hunter"? "Deer Hunter" is a great ever movie!

6) Hey I actually watched more than 5 movies! It was a marathon.... and I aim to do that again during the long holidays this weekend! Yeaaaaaah!

This movie is a Thai movie. I think those who like fighting scenes, drama, relationship kind of story line, should see this movie. I easily picked this movie as the best for this week!

It is a story about friendship, how 3 friends from the "backwaters" try to make it in Bangkok. How two of them sacrifies for one of them to make it in the world. One even sacrifies his own love....

It is a fighting story, when most scene are good fighting cheoragraphy. Not as good as "Ong Bak", but still great.

It is an underworld movie in Bangkok. Be ready for some brutal killings and gory scenes. No nudity.... hehehe....

It is a very good relationship story. Story about sacrifices and what seems to be betrayal. There was even some romantic scenes.

It is a sad movie. I am not ashame to say I shed some tears.... Usually only Hindi movies can make me cry.... That is why I have not seen Hindi Movie for quiet sometime.

P/S: This is for Kuzz and all my friends. Watching those movies makes me want to write this paragraph. What I have written in this blog pertaining to my job have been true, accept for one thing. I was not FIRED! I resigned, as I got a better offer. Wish me luck people. Thanks for your understanding and support. Forgive me if any of you are pissed off due to my lie.....

The Fat Lady Sings.

The verdict is out. The management is kind enough to give me until the end of this month to pack my things.

Looking at it from a positive side, Hey! I can look for a better job!

Let me try to remember how many jobs had I held all these years. ERmm.... 5 jobs. Not bad. I have gone thru the mills. Up and down..... There were times that I was really in deep shit....

But now, not really. I am still standing. In fact when you are down there is no where but for you to go up. And up I shall be.

These few days, or maybe weeks, just tolerate my "merapuness" ok? If my post seems to be short, I guess you all know why...... Expect more of my ramblings....

For Every Beginnning There Must Be An Ending.

Looks like this week, my status in this company will be made known.

What to do? I have not even finish "decorating" my new room. Actually I wanted to put a mirror on the pillar that was bloking my beautiful view of Kuala Lumpur.... looks like it will never happen.

I will try to take pics from my room and post it here when my "verdict" is confirmed. I have to admit I like the view and beginning to like this new place.

However what the outcome, things must go on. Will update again, when the picture becomes clearer.....

Facebook.

I have been on Facebook for a while now.

I do not understand, they do not allow me to sign up as Dade Ghost. So I had to signed up as Dade Hantu!

I am not addicted to it yet... and it is time consuming. Still looking for you guys... hehehe.... found some of you. As it is time consuming.... I am not there most of the time.....

Case I

As usual, when I have nothing much to do on weekends, I started to repair some faulty or not up to standard electrical appliances.

So last Saturday was my hot shower turn. It has been dripping as though something was stucked somewhere it the piping. Just a few months back I had opened up the piping system and the hot shower itself.

It seems that the water supply actually carry lots of small miniature stones, which will get stuck in the piping system, and in the hot shower itself! So I have done the cleaning a few months back, including the one at my kitchen sink. All clogged up by the water supply, which led me thinking, what is happening to our water supplier?

This time around, I think I was over confident, as I have opened up the hot shower previously.

All went well, actually found out the problem. Eventhough, I only found the cause after dismantling the plumbing and the hot shower unit! Apparently, the gasket in the shower head was worn out. Changed the gasket, and the shower was back to normal. Ermm... First lesson, check for worn out components before doing major dismantling.

As I was about to put back the cover of the shower unit, I realised there was one pin, that I have forgotten to put back. NORMALLY, I would have switched off the main power supply, but as I was over confident and lazy, I thought to myself, it is just a small pin that I have to put back.

So I just slide back the pin..... For a fraction of a second, there was a sharp pain in my finger! Instantly I pulled back my hand. In that split seconds I realised, what a stupid action I have done.... RULE NO. 1 when opening any electrical appliance: There must be no power supply to it!

Such a small action, and yet, it could have been the end of my life....


Case II.

Any of you guys have gone to IKEA? Going out from IKEA going back to Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, you will have to drive to the highway. From IKEA there will be three lanes. Once you about to enter the highway, it will merge into one lane!! Anyone noticed that???

As I was happily driving to office this morning, going thru that stretch of road, I noticed a lorry from my rear driving very fast on my left. As I enter the bend that merge with the highway, on the left most lane of the highway, I can see a proton driving fast on my right!

I slammed the brake, luckily there was no car right behind me! The lorry passed by happily and turn into the highway. The proton passed by happily cutting right in front of me going to the left towards the entrance of the highway to TTDI, Bangsar and Federal Highway...... (Notice that I know where the highway was going, but do not know the name of the highway? Well thats me! I only know Federal Highway.).

Boths vehicle was right behind me on my left and right. Why la they can just let me passed? Stupid road. I wonder who designed that stretch of road? I wonder how many near miss accidents? I wonder how many accident has taken place there?

So, I drove happily this morning to work.... I am glad, I am still alive and in one piece. Thank you God.

Boo Boo Part II

Dang@@!!! First round of negotiation, I hit a wall. First time I was using a not professional approach on company matters.... and yeah ... it blew back on my face.

Today round II of negotiation. Will stick to the agenda, focus on the real matters and see what happen? I am just getting use to my new room and new comfortable chair.... but my 6th sense is tingling that I will be in deep shit....

Well I have been in deep shit before....

In fact, I thought my head and mind gonna hurt thinking about this issue, but it did not!

Well I am just gonna try my best, if that means I got to find a new job, then that is what I am destine to be... hehehe....

When it rain it pours. It pours dogs, cats and summons..... RM 230 gone in 30 seconds early this morning. One speeding and one parking ticket! I find it funny, if I pay early, discount 30%. If I wait a few years, they might reduce 50% to 70%! I was driving company car and doing official work, yet I have to personally pay the summon. Maybe got to negotiate with the management.....

I pray that the rest of today will be much better. Let the bed of roses has less thorns.... better still, bed of roses with no thorns.....

Boo Boo Wachamacallit.

After 9 pm last Friday.

My phone vibrated.... (Yup my phone never rings....)

Me: Hello.
Wachamacallit: Inspector so-n-so from so-n-so.
Me: Yes how can I help you....(Thinking inside my head, who is trying to pull a fast one on me....?)
Wachamacallit: Is that DG from so-n-so?
Me: Yes inspector...
Wachamacallit: We received a report that your company have ......... blah blah blah...
Me: Really inspector? Our contractor must have done it without realising it.... (Now what? Is this real or what? The inspector was actually stuttering ...)
Wachamacallit: Please call back the authorities involved and the complainant. My advice is for you to settle the matter amicably.
Me: How do I get hold of you after this? Can I call you at this number?
Wachamacallit: You may call me at this so-n-so police station. As for so-n-so.
Me: Thank you inspector (How come I am so cool, but the inspector sounds so unlike a policeman?)

So the next thing to do was to do some simple checking with my supervisor. Ermm... it actually happened. I am lucky I did not berated the not so confident inspector.

Tried to settle the matter, but to no avail. The reporting party would not take my call or return my smses. Boss gave me 48 hours starting Monday to settle the matter. I have less than 24 hours left.

I wonder what is in store for me today? Bed of roses, beautiful, but full of thorns...

A Kampung Wedding

Had a wonderful weekend, but.....

Congratulation to my sister. Her wedding reception was during the weekend. After breaking off from her first engagement, finally for the second time of engagement, she got married....

I had fun. I was at my kampung since Saturday. So many of childhood friends and relatives were there. Lots of stories and memories. Overall I enjoyed meeting all of them...

So happy for my sister, finally she is off my shoulder! Hahaha.... u know la when my mother passed away, I am like the father. At times during the reception, I actually refered myself as "Abah" to her....

Yup it was tiring, but then again worth it.

Left my house for two days. I reached home about 8 30 pm Sunday. Looked for my kitten, it was no where in sight. Called and looked everywhere, it was gone.... I can feel how I felt when father died. I could not accept it then. Took me more than 5 years to come to term with his death....

Now my kitten is gone.... What a damper to a great weekend!

Belasungkawa

Belasungkawa : condolence; expression of sympathy.

The more I want to learn Bahasa Malaysia, the more I find weird and funny words. It is intriguing to me trying to find where these words were originally from. Most were from sunskrit with a mixture of arabic.

Anyhow, how come I have never heard or seen, anybody wishing someone, "Belasungkawa untuk keluarga awak, di atas kematian si ...." ?

Have fun using this new word. I feel the word is so ancient....

MPD First Monday Of The Month.

Why la I choose Monday??? Never mind, I will start with the MPD. Actually, nothing much la, I have been doing very little good deeds....

MPD

1) A cat gave birth to two kittens in my storeroom. One red and one black. Decided to help the mum and two kids have a better place to live. Put the two kids in a nice cute box, cushion with old rags. I was sad after two days the cat and kittens went missing.

2) Three days later when I got back from work, I heard a kitten meowing so loud. Saw a red kitten in between a banana tree. I dont think it was the twins, cause this one is about a few weeks old. The eyes had opened. It look so pathetic. First look, I thought it was going to die soon.

Took it home, fed it water. I dont have milk. Only the next day I managed to get milk and cat food. The kitten looks like it was going to die. Surprisingly, a few days later it was running around! Poor kitten, I can only feed it once or the most twice a day, before and after I go to work.

3) Gave training to my colleagues for three separate days. Nothing much, just to give them some idea, there are choices in life. Make them understand, we can only decide upon what is in our control. Thus it is best for them to focus on their part, rather than worry on things like the weather, or what the president of America going to do next.....

Already get approval from the management to give further training. I am having fun doing the so called training.....

That is basically it that I can remember, other than the small small things that I have been doing since last month. I hope you readers do your part to make this world a better place to live.....


Now comes the Monday blues part.

1) Flight was delayed and I arrived home at the early hours of this morning. What a start to a Monday?

2) My first day (actually November 1st, but they send me outstation) of work at the new place. Ermm.. I purposely did not blog about it... hehehe.... wish me luck people... I went in at about 11 am! Not my fault, the plane was delayed.....

3) The managers were giving me a hard time. New place, so they are testing me I guess. So far I have kept my cool.....

Lets see what tomorrow brings? A better life ...
