The Four Basic Human Interface

Finally my quest is complete! I have been looking for the fourth interface for ages, and it is so obvious, but not seen or felt by me. So I hope this sounds and feels right.

Base on my 1/4 theory, major things in our life is always broken into 4.  When we fail to comprehend this 4 basic human interface, that is where we usually does not get along with that person.

This is just a guide, as some of us have 1 major interface and maybe some minor ones. Those that have more than 1 major interface, might have problems with themselves. Maybe now, we can understand, why we have split personalities and so on.......

1) Seeing.
Some of us see better than the rest. We understand and grasp ideas or suggestion by looking. Words we mostly used are, "see", "colorful", "look", etc.
We make decision fast, base on what we see. We are easily bored when others talked too much. Action is our forte. Hard headed. See that we are the leader of the group.

2) Listening.
We understand better by listening. Sound evoke positive or negative reaction to us. Words that we most likely used are, "hear", "sound", "music", etc.
As long as we do not hear a sound idea or suggestion, we may not be able to make a decision. We are great story tellers. Love when people hear us, and being the center of attraction. Best work in a group.

3) Touching.
In order for us to relate to things, we must feel it. Seeing and listening helps us to understand better, but being touch and caress, will make us feels much better! Most used words, "feel", "hot", "cold", etc.
Difficult to make decision if we cannot touch the subject matter. Very emotional. Out of sight, out of heart. Bubbly personality. Heavy mood swings. Works well one on one.

4) Thinking.
The digital person. We understand better with numbers and sequences. Detailed person.  Love to use words like, "think", "digest", "make sense", etc.
At times perceived to be a slow decision maker. We need authenticated facts! We are excellence in making detailed plans. Reserved kind of person. The unseen mover of the group.

So, which one are we? Can we relate to our family and friends better, with this knowledge? Go deeper and you will find the secret of making lots of wonderful friends...... InsyAllah.

Teenagers

A scene from Rumble Fish. One of my favorite movie when I was a young lad. Nothing got to do with the story I am writing. But the deep emotion is similar.

Met with two 17 year old recently. I have this habit of chatting up people and observing them and what they say. Two teenagers, with different background.

Teenager 1: Came from a family in Southern Thailand. He comes to Malaysia with both his parent. Apparently working as a waiter in one of the restaurant in Kuala Lumpur. The parent are cooks at the same restaurant.
He is still wanted in Southern Thailand for drug abuse and trade. At 17 he is already a pusher? Looking at his frail built, and the cleanliness of his boyish face, he does not look like one of those thugs. And yet his story is true.
Now a fugitive, running from the law of his country. Wonder what has life in store for him?

Teenager 2: Came from a well to do family in Sabah. Taking his SPM this year. Parent from well known Malay and Chinese descendants in Sabah. Live an easy life.
He dreams to be a lawyer. He is set going into university of his choice after SPM. As body built is concern, he is frail like the teenager 1. Innocent boyish face.
Life seems to be better for him compared to the teenager 1.

My thinking: What are the chances that this two teenagers will make the best of their remaining years of living? I belief, given the proper guidance and chances, both can excel. PROVIDED, they choose so!

Do you know what I mean?

When I said, "I am sincere in giving/donating this sum of money to this group of needy people". Am I really sincere? When, in my blog, there will be (tons of) pictures of me handing over the money. And I tag all that is associated with me.

Am I sincere, when I said," I love you sincerely with all my heart". When, I gave lots of conditions for my undivided love. And I expect the same or more from you.

Will I be sincere, when I say, "Sincerely, I am your right choice to lead this amazing group". When, I actually paid some people to lobby most of those that attended. Not to mention that I paid for the trip to the convention for these attendees through a third party.

How sincere am I? When it is my project, I will mention my sincerity and plead support from everyone. But if it is not my project, I will be questioning every detail of the project, and find all its weaknesses and bring it up in public. If possible I will crucify the person that is SINCERELY doing it.

How sincere am I? When the person that is heading a great project is doing successfully, and there I am, being a SINCERE Devil's advocate, trying to diminish all credits due to the person?

Are we aware how sincere we are? The new generation, seems to have their own brand of sincerity. The spelling have not changed, but the basic meaning has.

Dicing with death.

Long time ago, I was informed that the Dodo birds were an extinct species. Will the human race be extinct too?

20 years ago, I hardly sees any motorcyclist beating the traffic lights. Maybe, there are not many traffic lights in our cities?

10 years ago, I can see some motorcyclist beating the traffic lights now and then. Perhaps they are late for their funeral?

Nowadays, I can see motorcyclist beating the traffic lights at every traffic light I stopped. (Of course, if it was manned by a policeman, they will not beat that traffic light!). And I wonder why do this motorcyclist keep on beating the traffic lights? Is this one of the reason, the high accident and road death of motorcyclist in Malaysia?

I have always asked myself, what can I do to curb this unwanted and dangerous situation? Maybe, just maybe, if some of us, in our spare time or moment, we take videos of this incidents and put it up online? Youtube maybe? Perhaps have a common blog manned by those interested to curb this foul happenings, including queue jumping on busy roads, road bullies etc....

Just thinking out loud. I am sure there will be some drawback with my idea, but if some of us put our mind together.... maybe we personally have the power to change these situations that beset our daily routine on the roads of Malaya......

MLM Sucker.

Does this face looks like MLM is written on it's forehead? I think so.... This week has been full of "Meniaga Larut Malam" meeting. This evening, another one of "these" meeting.

I think MLM is not bad, but those people that is doing it, either they purposely or misunderstood the MLM concept altogether, actually gave MLM a bad name.

Some of the MLM decided to reinvent their business. As the word MLM is now taboo in Malaysia (if not around the globe), these business has become networking business, referral programs, e-commerce etc.

As I said, MLM is actually not a bad business. Why? Lets start, why WE all hate it :
1) Annoying PEOPLE harassing us to join or promoting the MLM. These same PEOPLE promised us the Earth, Moon and Heaven. Do we belong to this guilty group, or can we make a difference?
2) WE (PEOPLE) have to sell, to PEOPLE. Most of us rather be online in FB or other social online groups, chatting and wasting lots of valuable time. Even just reading other PEOPLE's update do take some of our precious time. Why not use those online social group to our advantage and make the best of our very very precious time?
3) Its a Pyramid (Scam) as told by "experts" (These are PEOPLE). Does anyone noticed, that in any large business organisation, there are more supporting staff then, executives? More executives then managers? More managers than General Managers? And perhaps only one CEO being aided by another CFO. Draw the company organisation chart and it resembles a Pyramid! My God, that company must be a scam! And do we noticed that the consumers of the product or service users of that company, is usually so large? And these PEOPLE only purchase and use the products, no chance of making some side income.......

I can go on and on..... maybe some other time. I have been doing MLM for so many donkey years. Made some loose some. I have been doing other businesses too, like car wash, eatery etc. Made some loose some.
My conclusion, not everyone can do business. Same statement for MLM. MLM is just another way of doing business. Even in conventional business there are cheats .... so beware of PEOPLE. Stop blaming on the business.
