With all the bruhaha on the study by one of the reputable local university where 99.99999999999 % of the teenager girls interviewed were not a virgin.
WOW!
As expected, it turns out they were interviewing from a group sample of teenagers that have issues, like drugs, broken homes, prostitution etc.
I pity those girls. But what they did was wrong. I just hope the authority have some sort of program to help these girls starts a new life. Time mend and heals the past. If one wants to change, anyone can change for the better.
I pray that all human being, do realise, each one of you can make changes to your life. You do not need to wait for someone else to help you. Even if you do need help, there will be someone willing to help. Just find the right people.......
But that is not what I am writing this post about. It just puzzles me, what a reputable university trying to do with those findings? Proof that we are an immoral lot? At first reading the article, I thought they were doing a study on their own students!
Well, actually, I am wondering, how many of you guys are actually a virgin when you got married??? Why the fuss la, a girl or lady must be a virgin, but men... its ok not to be one! Tahi lembu punya pemikiran!!!! Pardon me......
I am confident, if they (the reputable university) do a survey on their male students, the findings will definitely get parents to consider taking their kids out off universities!
Let us not be double standard la.....

I think not only girls from broken homes or are on drugs are sleeping around at souch a young age.
In my opinion, the exposure of these kids to the media has an impact on the way they think as they were growing up. The University should do a survey on the public in general, on what kind of impact/influence the mass media have on the society now. The US/Europe media has been selling/promoting sex indirectly.
BT agree with u. Just wondering, any such studies in Singapore? And what is the reason for the study?
yup, what is the reason for them to come up with the survey and with the results, what are they gonna do abt it?? The party responsible for the study should be proactive and come up with solutions to help reduce the social problems. No point digging out info and use it as a weapon for the wrong reasons!
And yes, you are right, they shld NOT discriminate, the shld also check on the guys as well!
Dade,
Coincidentally, there was an article about it in S'pore's The Newpaper today..
I think it's all much ado about nothing, from a community obsessed with sex, they want to legitimise, legalise, control, validate, etc... anything to do with it.
It is a true reflection of their own immaturity and insecurity, as evidence from the continued reports of sexual offsences from this same community, since God knows when.
gender bias - what's not new lah ?
who cares la what they are doing overseas..they are more liberal then us Asians...
huh?..more liberal then Asians? heheeh...Asians have been corrupted long before any interviews came to public or any surveys were taken...
it's just like looking over to see what your neighbour is doing...in actual fact...you are the rouge yourself!
Live and let live people..go for an extreme makeover!
Nour, some people find faults, some people they inform faults, very little people they correct faults.
BT I think they r refering to the same story/study....
Hi Keropok, I just wish this same community start having solutions rather than having reports....
Freak, nothing new la..... but I am still waiting for the day when the news reports that more men get rape by ladies.....
KH guess we need to start with ourself....
you know what - the study is either representative of malaysian teenaged girls or it simply shows that girls with problems become promiscous.
either it is inaccurae and misleading.
God knows what they want to do with the findings.
TWB I think they just want to make some issues sensational so that the government can give them more budget/grants to make more inaccurate and misleading studies..... hehehe....
DG,
That is just one of the many, many social science studies done in the university, the media just highlighted that one because it's 'catchy'.
Having said that, I do agree that studies shouldn't be double standard. Should find a real solution and not blow away hundred thousands of taxpayers' RM in half-baked campaigns which takdak hasil, like the Rempit campaign thingy.
Jie agree with u.....

U somewhat think that u have low self esteem Ili.... therefore u can do something about it yourself.
Never count another person's money... one will never satisfied with oneself.
hehe dunno lah, dont want to talk about it la..
Kudos to yo!!! you can read in between lines, you can actually pour anything comes to mind, I wonder when you know ppl lie right in front of your face, what would you do?? Not many ppl take bitterness in life as the starting for a sweet point but nevertheless everyone has their own way to learn about life... I may be wrong but then again its all about what you want!!
Lynna, sometimes even knowing ppl lie to me (especially my gf) I would act as though I am not aware...
Yeah I can feel and understand your opinion on "Its all about what you want!!".
